What’s happening with our friends at Big Brothers Big Sisters West Island this month? We’ve got all the latest updates from director Megan Semenchuk and hope we can inspire you to get involved with your community!
January Activity Kit and Contest
To help stay connected and to alleviate a bit if winter boredom, BBBSWI came up with a cool activity to do at home, for any kids in our program who wished to participate.
The youth got the opportunity to create an awesome themed collage keepsake box; the themes they got to choose from were Anime/Manga, Superheroes, and Animals/Nature. All the materials and instructions were included in the kits, and coordinator Cathy, hand-delivered a kit to anyone who was interested in participating. Prizes for the top 3 creations were awarded for those who sent in a picture of their craft. About 30 kits were delivered in total throughout the West Island and Montreal area.
