The sun was shining and golfers were all smiles at the West Island Cancer Wellness Centre (WICWC) charity golf tournament held on September 21st at the St- Raphaël Golf Club. The event is the WICWC’s most important fundraiser of the year and raised a grand total of $256,813!
FlightHub was proud to be on board as a sponsor of this year’s tournament. It’s always been important for us to work with local charity organizations. This allows us to establish a deeper connection to the organization and directly see the positive benefits our contributions can make. The WICWC is renowned within Montreal’s West Island community and we are proud to have been a part of such a fantastic event.
“Cancer is not just a physical disease. It affects a person’s mind, body and spirit as well as having an impact on the entire family. Our wellness programs complement medical intervention by concentrating on these important areas of both the person with cancer and their caregiver. My heartfelt thanks go to everyone who helped make the tournament a success. Their support and generosity make it possible for us to be there for anyone living with cancer,” said Debbie Magwood, Founder and Executive Director of the WICWC.
The WICWC is a registered charity that focuses on improving the health and well-being of people living with cancer by addressing their emotional, physical and spiritual needs. Learn more about their mission or how to volunteer here: https://wicwc.com/
